It is a panoramic trekking and hiking route that starts in Entrèves (Courmayeur), climbs to the Pavillon/Skyway and continues to the Brenva Belvedere, returning along the same route.

The total length is about 13.2 km round trip, with a total positive elevation gain of around 1,110 m. The route is divided into 14 stages.
As a guideline, allow 4 h 30 min for the outward route and 3 h for the return, for a total of about 7 h 30 min of walking.
The route is divided into 14 stages: the first 4 are considered level E (hikers), as are stages 9, 10, 11 and 12, which are next to the Skyway Pavillon station; stages 5, 6, 7, 8, 13 and 14 are considered EE (experienced hikers). However, between stages 12 and 13 there are steep sections, some passages equipped with fixed ropes and steps, and continuing beyond stage 12 requires good preparation and confidence on mountain terrain.
Yes: the section between the Pavillon and the Belvedere includes stretches equipped with fixed ropes, brackets and rocky passages. Is it suitable for beginners or families with children? The route is not recommended for absolute beginners, except for stages 1 to 4, which are easier to walk, and, for those arriving by cable car, stages 9, 10 and 11. In general, the trail is suitable for experienced hikers in good physical condition.
The recommended period is June to September, when the trail is free of snow and safer.
No: the route is not feasible in winter because of snow and difficult conditions.
Yes: there is a mountain hut at the Pavillon/Skyway where hikers can stop and resupply. There is no drinking water along the route.
Yes: hikers who do not want to tackle the first section on foot can take Skyway Monte Bianco to the Pavillon and then continue on foot towards the Belvedere.
The route offers close views of Mont Blanc, the Aiguille Noire and Aiguille Blanche de Peuterey, the Grand Pilier d’Angle and the Brenva Glacier, with broad views over the Valdigne and Courmayeur.
Those who choose to follow the trail starting from Entrèves can drive to the Val Veny cable car parking area or use public transport (the circular bus line from Courmayeur). Those who choose to start from the Pavillon du Mont-Fréty can use the Skyway Monte Bianco cable car.
Trekking shoes are required. The route also requires suitable equipment for rocky and equipped sections in order to reach stages 13 and 14.

The Entrèves-Pavillon du Mont Fréty section can be walked with a dog and, in general, so can all stages up to stage 12. Beyond stage 12 there are via ferrata sections. Dogs may travel on the cable car with a muzzle. In general, please remember the rules on using a leash on mountain trails.
